Trip Overview

For the Jain community and spiritual seekers, Tijara is not just a destination; it is an emotion. Known formally as Shri 1008 Chandraprabhu Digambar Jain Atishay Kshetra, this temple is famous for a miraculous event in 1956 when a pristine, white marble idol of Lord Chandraprabhu (the 8th Tirthankar) was discovered underground after a local resident had a dream. Today, the temple complex is a sprawling, peaceful sanctuary that attracts devotees from all over the world. The vibration here is powerful, and many believe that offering prayers here fulfills sincere wishes. On this trip, you will have ample time for Darshan, Puja, and Bhakti without the rush of public transport.

Trip Highlights

What makes this day trip unforgettable.

  • The Miraculous Idol: Have Darshan of the principal deity, Lord Chandraprabhu. The idol, recovered from the earth, shines with a divine white glow.

  • The Dehra: Visit the specific spot (Dehra) where the idol was excavated. It is considered the epicenter of the temple’s spiritual energy.

  • Glass Work Hall: Admire the intricate glasswork and paintings inside the main temple hall that depict the life of the Tirthankaras.

  • Tijara Fort Palace: (Optional) Just minutes away on a hill stands the majestic Tijara Fort Palace (a Neemrana Hotel). It offers a stunning contrast of history against the spiritual valley.

  • Pure Satvik Food: Enjoy a simple, pure vegetarian meal at the Temple Bhojanalaya (Dining Hall) which is known for its hygiene and taste.

Timeline & Itinerary

07:00 AM: The Early Departure

Your private chauffeur arrives at your hotel in Jaipur. We start early to ensure we reach the temple before the midday heat. We take the route towards Alwar, passing through the scenic Aravalli hills. The drive is smooth, and the changing landscape from Jaipur’s cityscapes to Alwar’s mustard fields is refreshing.

11:00 AM: Arrival at Tijara

As the massive temple shikhar (spire) comes into view, you feel a sense of calm. We arrive at the Atishay Kshetra. Wash your hands and feet, and prepare for entry. The atmosphere inside is filled with the chanting of Namokar Mantra.

11:30 AM: Darshan & Puja

Enter the main sanctum. Stand before the miraculous idol of Lord Chandraprabhu. Perform your prayers (Abhishek or Puja if arranged). Take time to meditate in the large halls. The silence here is profound, broken only by the ringing of bells.

01:00 PM: The Dehra Visit

Walk to the “Place of Origin” where the idol was found. Light a Deepak (lamp) or incense here. Devotees believe the energy is strongest at this exact spot.

01:30 PM: Satvik Lunch

For the most authentic experience, we recommend lunch at the Temple Bhojanalaya. The food is pure, simple, and served with devotion. Alternatively, if you prefer luxury, we can drive up to the Tijara Fort Palace for a royal lunch with a view (Direct Payment).

03:00 PM: Tijara Fort (Optional Stop)

Before leaving, we can drive up the winding road to the Tijara Fort. Even if you don’t eat there, the view of the Jain Temple complex from the fort ramparts is breathtaking and perfect for photos.

04:30 PM: The Return Journey

Feeling blessed and peaceful, we begin the drive back to Jaipur. You can rest in the back seat as your driver navigates the highway safely.

08:30 PM: Doorstep Drop-off

We arrive back in the Pink City. We drop you right at your hotel doorstep, completing a day of devotion and heritage.

Yes. The temple has a very clean and modern Dharamshala (Guest House) with AC rooms for pilgrims. There is also the luxury Tijara Fort Palace hotel nearby.

Yes, the route via Alwar-Jaipur or Behror-Jaipur is safe. However, we recommend starting the return journey by 5:00 PM to avoid night driving on the state highways.
