Trip Overview
This is not just a tour; it is a bucket-list moment. You will leave the noise of Delhi behind and glide down the smooth Yamuna Expressway to the ancient city of Agra. The centerpiece, of course, is the Taj Mahal. No matter how many photos you have seen, nothing prepares you for the reality of the white marble changing colors under the sun. But Agra is more than just one building. You will also explore the massive Agra Fort, where Emperors lived and ruled India, and taste the rich, creamy flavors of authentic Mughlai cuisine. It is a day of symmetry, history, and beauty.

Timeline & Itinerary
06:30 AM: The Expressway Glide
Your private chauffeur arrives at your hotel/airport in Delhi. We head straight for the Yamuna Expressway. The chaos of the city fades into the yellow mustard fields of Uttar Pradesh. Sit back and watch the countryside zip by at 100 km/h.
10:00 AM: The Taj Mahal
We arrive in Agra. Your guide meets you here. We take a battery van to the entrance. As you step through the dark arch of the Royal Gate, the white dome suddenly appears in the sunlight. Walk along the water channels, touch the cold marble, and listen to the story of Shah Jahan’s love for Mumtaz.
12:30 PM: Agra Fort
Just 2 km away stands the powerful Agra Fort. Unlike the delicate Taj, this is a symbol of military strength. Walk through the palaces where Shah Jahan was later imprisoned by his own son, gazing at the Taj Mahal from a small window.
02:00 PM: Mughlai Lunch
Agra is famous for food. We stop at a top-rated local restaurant. Try the Chicken Tikka, Paneer Lababdar, and hot Naan breads. (Lunch is Direct Payment).
03:00 PM: Marble Art (Or Mehtab Bagh)
Before leaving, visit a marble workshop to see how the semi-precious stones are cut and fitted into marble. It is like watching magic. Alternatively, if you prefer views over shopping, we can drive to Mehtab Bagh (Moonlight Garden) for a rear view of the Taj across the river.
04:30 PM: The Return Journey
With a camera full of memories, we head back onto the Expressway.
08:00 PM: Doorstep Drop-off
We arrive back in Delhi. We drop you right at your hotel or the airport, ending a day you will never forget.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Taj Mahal open every day?
No. It is closed every Friday. It is open from Sunrise to Sunset on all other days.
Can we enter inside the Taj Mahal?
Yes, you can enter the main mausoleum chamber to see the replica cenotaphs of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal. The actual graves are in a sealed basement below.
Do we need a guide?
It is highly recommended. The Taj is beautiful to look at, but the history, the architecture, and the optical illusions (like the calligraphy changing size) are best explained by a guide.
Is the drive safe?
Yes, the Yamuna Expressway is one of the safest and fastest roads in India. It is fenced and has CCTV cameras.
What is the best time to visit?
Sunrise is the absolute best time to avoid crowds and see the best colors. To see the sunrise, we must leave Delhi by 03:00 AM. Standard day tours leave by 6:00 AM or 7:00 AM.
Can we stop at Mathura on the way?
Yes. Mathura (Birthplace of Lord Krishna) is on the way. We can add a stop there, but it will add about 2 hours to the trip.
