Trip Overview

Khatu Shyam Ji is not just a temple; it is a phenomenon. Located in the Sikar district, it is dedicated to Barbarika (the grandson of Bhima from the Mahabharata), who sacrificed his head to Lord Krishna. Impressed by his sacrifice, Krishna granted him the boon to be worshipped by His own name (Shyam) in the Kali Yuga.

Known as “Haare Ka Sahara” (The Support of the Defeated), this temple draws millions of pilgrims who have lost hope in the world but find it here. As you drive through the massive Toran Dwar (Gateway), the atmosphere shifts. The air smells of rose Ittar (perfume) and marigolds. You will see oceans of devotees carrying saffron flags (Nishan) from Ringas to Khatu, chanting “Jai Shri Shyam” with tears in their eyes. On this tour, you will navigate the famous zig-zag lines to get that one, life-changing glimpse of the bearded head of the Lord.
