For the Jain community, a visit to Jaipur is incomplete without bowing at these two sacred sites. First, we visit Shri Digambar Jain Atishay Kshetra Sanghiji in Sanganer. Built in the 10th century with red sandstone, it resembles the famous Dilwara Temples of Mount Abu. It is famous for its legends of an underground temple guarded by Yakshas. Next, we drive to Padampura Atishay Kshetra, where a miraculous white stone idol of Lord Padamprabhu appeared from the earth in 1944. We arrive at the massive red sandstone gate of the Sanghiji Temple. Enter the courtyard and look up at the shikhar (spire) adorned with intricate stone carvings. Bow before Lord Adinath. Your driver/guide will share the legend of the “Guarded Underground,” where only ascetic monks can enter. The vibration here is ancient and powerful.

10:30 AM: Drive to Padampura

We leave the bustling town of Sanganer and drive 30 minutes further south on Tonk Road. The landscape opens up into green fields as we approach the village of Padampura.

11:15 AM: The Miracle of 1944 (Padampura)

We arrive at the grand white complex of Padampura Atishay Kshetra. As you walk towards the main sanctum, you feel a sense of lightness. Stand before the beautiful white idol of Lord Padamprabhu. It is said that wishes made here with a pure heart come true. Admire the stunning glasswork (Kanch Ka Mandir) that reflects the divine light.

12:30 PM: Satvik Lunch

After offering your prayers, enjoy a simple, pious lunch at the temple’s Bhojanalaya. The food is strictly vegetarian (no onion/garlic) and prepared with great purity. (Lunch is Direct Payment/Donation).

The underground floors are sealed and guarded. Only Digambar Munis (Monks) are allowed to enter on specific auspicious occasions. Regular devotees can only visit the main temple on the ground floor.

Is the road good?

Yes, Tonk Road (NH-52) is a wide, 4-lane national highway. The drive is very smooth.

Is this tour suitable for wheelchair users?

Yes, Padampura is very spacious and wheelchair friendly. Sanganer temple has some steps, but the main courtyard is accessible.

Is food available at the temples?
