Is the stepwell haunted?
No, Abhaneri is not haunted. It is a historical site. If you are looking for spooky stories, you should visit Bhangarh Fort nearby.
Can we do this trip in the afternoon?
Yes. Since it is only a 2-hour drive, you can leave Jaipur as late as 1:00 PM and still see the monument before sunset.

Absolutely. Abhaneri is just a 5 km detour off the main Jaipur-Agra highway. It is the perfect midway stop if you are traveling to Agra.
Is there an entry fee?
Yes, but it is very low. Currently, it is free for some or has a nominal charge (approx. ₹25 for Indians, ₹300 for foreigners). (Prices subject to change).
