The Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Udaipur – Arrival & Lake Boat Ride

Welcome to the City of Lakes. Upon your arrival at Udaipur airport or railway station, our representative will meet you and help you transfer to your hotel. After checking in, take some time to rest and freshen up.

In the evening, we go to Lake Pichola for a relaxing Boat Ride. As the boat moves quietly on the water, you can see the City Palace, Lake Palace, and Jag Mandir glowing in the sunset light. It is a peaceful way to start your trip and understand why Udaipur is so famous.

Day 02: Udaipur – Full Day City Sightseeing

After breakfast, we explore the royal history of the city. We start with the City Palace, a huge complex with many courtyards and balconies that overlook the lake. Next, we visit the Jagdish Temple and Saheliyon Ki Bari, a beautiful garden made for the royal ladies.

In the evening, we visit Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal (Puppet Museum) and Shilpgram. This is a crafts village where you can see the local village life, folk music, and traditional art of Rajasthan.

Day 03: Udaipur to Kumbhalgarh – The Marble Temple & The Great Fort

After an early breakfast, we leave Udaipur and drive towards the hills. On the way, we stop at the Ranakpur Jain Temple. This temple is famous for having 1,444 marble pillars, and no two pillars are the same.

After visiting the temple, we continue our drive to Kumbhalgarh. Check in to your hotel and relax. Later, we visit the majestic Kumbhalgarh Fort. It has a 36-kilometer long wall, which is the second longest in the world after China. You can walk on the wide walls and see the beautiful view of the Aravalli hills.

Day 04: Return to Udaipur via Haldighati

After breakfast, we check out from the hotel and drive back towards Udaipur. On the way, we stop at Haldighati, a very important historical site.

This is the yellow-soil battlefield where the famous battle between Maharana Pratap and the Mughal army took place. You can visit the museum here to learn about the brave Chetak (Maharana Pratap’s horse). Finally, we drop you at the Udaipur airport or railway station for your onward journey.

The direct distance is about 85 km (2 hours). However, we go via Ranakpur, which makes the drive longer (approx. 4-5 hours total driving) but much more scenic.

Is the drive safe?

Yes, the roads are generally good. The section near Kumbhalgarh is a hill road with curves, but our drivers are experienced in this terrain.

Can we skip Haldighati?

Yes, if you have a flight to catch and are short on time, we can drive directly from Kumbhalgarh to Udaipur airport. Just let the driver know.

Is the Boat Ride included?

Yes! A shared boat ride on Lake Pichola is included in your package.

Can we see the Light and Sound show at Kumbhalgarh?
