Why We Curated This Specific Route

This itinerary is designed for travelers who want to see the best of India’s culture and nature without flying to multiple states.

  • The “Full” Delhi: Most tours skim the surface of Delhi. We dedicate two full days to the capital, ensuring you see the Mughal heritage (Old Delhi), the British legacy (New Delhi), and the modern spiritual marvels (Akshardham).

  • The Jungle Escape: After the hustle of the city, Ranthambhore offers a complete change of pace. It is one of the best places in India to spot the Royal Bengal Tiger.

  • Smart Departure: The tour ends at Sawai Madhopur Station, which is a major railway hub. This makes it easy to catch a fast train to your next destination (Mumbai, Jaipur, or back to Delhi) without a long drive back.

The Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Delhi – Arrival & The Tale of Two Cities

Welcome to the Capital. Upon your arrival at Delhi airport or railway station, our representative will meet you for a smooth transfer to your hotel. After freshening up, we dive straight into history.

We start in Old Delhi (Shahjahanabad). Visit the massive Jama Masjid and take a thrilling Rickshaw Ride through the narrow, electric lanes of Chandni Chowk. We pay respects at Raj Ghat (Gandhi Memorial) and drive past the Red Fort. In the afternoon, we enter British Delhi. Drive past the grand India Gate, Parliament House, and the President’s House—the seat of the world’s largest democracy.

Day Highlights:

  • VIP Meet & Greet at Delhi Airport/Station.

  • Adventure: Rickshaw Ride in Chandni Chowk.

  • Visit Jama Masjid & Raj Ghat.

  • Drive past India Gate & Parliament House.

Day 02: Delhi – Monuments & Modern Spirituality

After breakfast, we explore the UNESCO heritage of South Delhi. We visit Humayun’s Tomb (the architectural inspiration for the Taj Mahal) and the towering Qutub Minar, the tallest brick minaret in the world. We also stop at the flower-shaped Lotus Temple for a moment of silence.

In the evening, we visit the magnificent Akshardham Temple. This modern marvel of pink sandstone features intricate carvings and vast courtyards that showcase 10,000 years of Indian culture. It is a peaceful end to a busy day.

Day Highlights:

  • Explore Qutub Minar & Humayun’s Tomb.

  • Visit the Bahá’í Lotus Temple.

  • Evening: Grand visit to Akshardham Temple.

  • Overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 03: Delhi to Ranthambhore – The Road to the Wild

After breakfast, we leave the urban sprawl behind and drive south towards Ranthambhore (approx. 6-7 hours). Watch the landscape change from the flat plains of Haryana to the mustard fields and rugged hills of Rajasthan.

We arrive at your wildlife resort by afternoon. Check-in and wash off the travel fatigue. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the resort grounds, take a dip in the pool, or simply listen to the sounds of the jungle. Enjoy a warm dinner at the resort.

Day Highlights:

  • Drive from Delhi to Ranthambhore (via Mumbai Expressway).

  • Check-in to Wildlife Resort.

  • Leisure evening to relax.

  • Dinner: Buffet Dinner at the resort.

Day 04: The Jungle Safari & Farewell

Wake up before the sun! The jungle calls early. We board a Canter (Open Safari Bus) for your Morning Jungle Safari. As the mist clears, keep your eyes peeled for the Royal Bengal Tiger, leopards, sloth bears, and crocodiles by the lakes.

After the thrill of the safari, we return to the resort for a well-deserved breakfast. We then check out and transfer you to the Sawai Madhopur Railway Station (just 15 mins away) for your onward journey to Jaipur, Mumbai, or back to Delhi.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the drive to Ranthambhore?

With the new Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, the drive time has reduced significantly. It now takes about 5.5 to 6.5 hours to reach Ranthambhore from Delhi. It is a smooth drive.

Can we take a train instead of driving to Ranthambhore?

Yes, taking a train from Delhi (Hazrat Nizamuddin) to Sawai Madhopur is often more comfortable than driving. We can adjust the package to provide station transfers instead of a private car for the long haul.

Is it safe to eat street food in Chandni Chowk?

We recommend being cautious. Stick to famous, hygienic shops like Haldiram's or Paranthe Wali Gali recommended by our guide. Avoid raw cut fruits or water from unknown sources.

Can we add an afternoon safari?

Yes! The standard package includes 1 safari on Day 4 morning. If you reach Ranthambhore early on Day 3 (by 1:00 PM), we can add an Afternoon Safari for an extra cost.

What is a Canter?

A Canter is an open-top safari bus that seats 20 people. It offers good height for spotting animals in the tall grass. If you want a private vehicle, ask for a Gypsy (Jeep) upgrade.

Are mobile phones allowed in Akshardham?

No. Phones, smartwatches, cameras, and bags are strictly prohibited inside the Akshardham temple complex. There is a safe, free cloakroom facility available at the entrance.
