Why We Curated This Specific Route

Sariska is often overshadowed by Ranthambhore, but for travelers in Jaipur, it is the smarter choice for a quick getaway. We designed this itinerary to maximize your time in the jungle.

  • The “Gypsy” Advantage: Unlike most standard packages that put you in a big bus (Canter), this tour includes 02 Safaris by Gypsy (Open Jeep). This means better views, more privacy, and the ability to go deeper into narrow tracks.

  • Proximity: It is a short, easy drive from Jaipur (only 2.5 hours). You spend less time on the road and more time in the forest.

  • Double Chances: With two safaris (Morning & Afternoon), you double your chances of spotting the elusive tiger or the shy leopard.

The Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Jaipur to Sariska | The Lake & The Forest

Your journey begins with a pickup from your hotel, airport, or residence in Jaipur. We drive north towards Alwar to reach the Sariska Tiger Reserve. The drive is scenic, passing through the rugged Aravalli hills.

Upon arrival, check into your wildlife resort. After a fresh lunch and some rest, we recommend a visit to Siliserh Lake. It is a massive, calm lake surrounded by hills—perfect for spotting crocodiles and migratory birds. You can sit by the lake or enjoy a boat ride (optional) before returning to the resort for a warm dinner.

Day Highlights:

  • Short, comfortable drive from Jaipur (approx. 110 km).

  • Check-in to a peaceful wildlife resort.

  • Visit the scenic Siliserh Lake.

  • Dinner at the resort.

Day 02: The Double Safari | Tracking the Predator

Today is all about the wild. We start before sunrise for your Morning Jungle Safari. Climb into your Private/Shared Gypsy and enter the Tiger Reserve. Sariska is famous for its scrub-thorn forests and rocky cliffs, which are perfect hiding spots for Leopards and Tigers. You might also see Sambar deer, Nilgai, and Wild Boars.

Return to the resort for breakfast and relax by the pool during the heat of the day. In the afternoon, we head back for the Evening Safari. The forest looks completely different in the golden light of sunset, and this is when predators often come out to waterholes. Return to the resort for dinner and share your stories around a bonfire.

Day Highlights:

  • Safari 1: Morning Jeep Safari (Best for tracking pugmarks).

  • Safari 2: Afternoon Jeep Safari (Best for photography).

  • Spotting Tigers, Leopards, and Striped Hyenas.

  • Explore the ancient ruins inside the jungle.

Day 03: Farewell to the Wild | Return to Jaipur

Wake up to the sound of peacocks calling. Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the resort. We then check out and drive back to Jaipur.

If you have time before your flight or train, we can stop for some shopping in the Jaipur local markets. We drop you at the airport or railway station, refreshed by the fresh jungle air.

Day Highlights:

  • Relaxed morning breakfast.

  • Scenic drive back to Jaipur.

  • Assisted drop-off at Airport/Station.

  • End of services with happy memories.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is a Gypsy better than a Canter?

A Canter is a 20-seater bus. A Gypsy is a 6-seater 4x4 Jeep. The Gypsy is quieter, faster, and can go on narrow tracks where the bus cannot. It gives you a much more intimate and premium wildlife experience.

Is Siliserh Lake worth visiting?

Yes. It is huge and very peaceful. You can see majestic architecture (Siliserh Lake Palace) on its banks and spot crocodiles basking in the sun.

Is the safari safe?

Yes, completely. You are accompanied by a trained driver and a government-approved nature guide who knows the forest well. You must stay inside the vehicle at all times.

What is the best time to visit Sariska?

October to June is the season. Winter (Nov-Feb): Pleasant weather, great for full-day outings. Summer (April-June): Hot, but best for tiger sightings as animals come to waterholes.

How far is Sariska from Jaipur?

It is very close—about 110 km. It takes only 2 to 2.5 hours to drive there, making it an easy road trip.

Are there tigers in Sariska?

Yes! Sariska was the first reserve in the world to successfully relocate tigers. The population has grown significantly. While they are shy, sightings happen regularly in the Core Zones.
