Why We Curated This Specific Route
Varanasi can be overwhelming for a first-timer. We designed this 3-day itinerary to guide you through the chaos and find the peace within it.
The “Two Rivers” Experience: We show you the Ganga in two distinct moods: the quiet, mystical flow during the Boat Ride and the grand, fiery spectacle during the Evening Aarti.
Beyond Hinduism: Varanasi is not just Kashi; it is near Sarnath. We include a dedicated trip to this Buddhist pilgrimage site where the Buddha gave his first sermon, offering a calm contrast to the city’s intensity.
The Silk Route: No trip is complete without understanding the art of Banarasi Silk. We allocate time on Day 3 for you to see the weavers and markets that make this city famous globally.
The Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival & The River of Life
Welcome to Kashi (Benares). Upon your arrival at Varanasi airport or railway station, our representative will meet you for a transfer to your hotel. After checking in, take some time to mentally prepare for the city—it is intense, vibrant, and unlike anywhere else on Earth.
In the evening, we head to the riverbanks for a Private Boat Ride on the Ganges. As your boat glides past the 84 Ghats, witness the cycle of life and death playing out side by side. Seeing the smoke from the cremation ghats and the oil lamps floating on the water is a profound, spiritual introduction to the city.
Day Highlights:
VIP Meet & Greet at Varanasi Airport/Station.
Relaxed afternoon to settle in.
Featured: Evening Boat Ride on the Ganges.
Witness the daily rituals along the Ghats.
Overnight stay in the spiritual capital.
Day 02: The Golden Temple, Sarnath & The Great Aarti
We start the day with the spiritual core: The Kashi Vishwanath Temple (Golden Temple), dedicated to Lord Shiva. We also visit the Annapurna Temple, Bharat Mata Temple (dedicated to Mother India), and the sprawling Banaras Hindu University (BHU) campus.
In the afternoon, we drive to Sarnath (10km away). This is where Lord Buddha turned the Wheel of Law. Walk through the peaceful Deer Park, see the massive Dhamek Stupa, and visit the museum housing the original Lion Capital (India’s national emblem). We return to the Ghats at sunset for the Ganga Aarti. Watching the priests perform the synchronized ritual with fire lamps and chants is a mesmerizing experience.
Day Highlights:
Darshan at Kashi Vishwanath & Annapurna Temple.
Visit the peaceful Buddhist ruins of Sarnath.
See the Ashoka Pillar at Sarnath Museum.
The Main Event: Grand Evening Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat.
Overnight stay in Varanasi.
Day 02: The Silk Route & Farewell
After breakfast, we explore the artistic side of Varanasi. The city is world-famous for its Banarasi Silk Sarees. We visit the local markets (or a weaver’s colony) to see the intricate gold and silver thread work that goes into these masterpieces.
Depending on your flight/train timing, you can shop for brassware, Rudraksha beads, or simply enjoy a final “Blue Lassi” (a famous local treat). We then transfer you to the airport or railway station for your onward journey, carrying the blessings of the Ganges with you.
Day Highlights:
Explore the bustling local markets (Godowlia/Thatheri Bazar).
Shop for authentic Banarasi Silk & Handicrafts.
Assisted drop-off at Airport/Station.
End of services with spiritual memories.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it better to stay on the Ghats or in the City?
On the Ghats: Amazing views and atmosphere, but cars cannot reach the hotel (you must walk/take a boat). Best for experience. In the City (Cantonment): Luxury hotels with car parking and peace. Best for comfort.
Can non-Hindus enter Kashi Vishwanath Temple?
Yes, the temple is open to everyone. However, you must carry your original Passport/ID. Bags, mobile phones, and leather items are strictly prohibited inside—you must leave them in the hotel or lockers.
What is the "Ganga Aarti"?
It is a daily devotional ritual performed by young priests at Dashashwamedh Ghat to honor the River Goddess Ganga. It involves fire, incense, bells, and chanting. It starts around 6:30 PM everyday.
Is the Boat Ride safe?
Yes, we use sturdy, licensed boats with experienced boatmen. Life jackets are provided. The river current is generally calm, except during the Monsoon (July-Sept) when boat rides may be suspended.
How far is Sarnath from Varanasi?
Sarnath is about 10-12 km from the main city. It takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour by car depending on the famous Varanasi traffic.
What should I buy in Varanasi?
The #1 item is Banarasi Silk Sarees or scarves. Also look for Gulabi Meenakari (pink enamel jewelry), wooden toys, and brass idols. Be careful of fake silk—our guide can take you to government-approved shops.
