Why we curated this specific route?

“The Perfect One-Way Flow.”

Most Golden Triangle tours loop back to Delhi, which can feel repetitive. We designed this “Open-Jaw” itinerary to save you time. You start in the North (Delhi) and travel South-West, finishing in Udaipur.

This route offers a brilliant transition in landscape and mood: from the chaotic energy of Delhi and the structured beauty of the Taj Mahal to the pink hues of Jaipur, finally culminating in the white, peaceful calmness of Udaipur’s lakes. It is the best way to see the diversity of North India in just one week.

The Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Welcome to India | Delhi Arrival & Sightseeing

  • Drive: Airport Pick-up + Local Sightseeing.

  • Stay: Overnight in Delhi.

Upon arrival at Delhi Airport or Railway Station, your private chauffeur will welcome you. After check-in and a brief rest, we dive into the capital’s history. We visit Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque, followed by a sensory-overload walk through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk in Old Delhi. We pay respects at Raj Ghat (Gandhi Memorial) and drive past the massive Red Fort. Later, we explore New Delhi’s colonial grandeur: driving past the President’s House and India Gate, ending with the towering Qutub Minar, a masterpiece of Afghan architecture.

Day Highlights:

  • Rickshaw Ride potential in Chandni Chowk.

  • Visit Jama Masjid & Qutub Minar.

  • Drive past Colonial Delhi landmarks.

Day 02: The Monument of Love | Delhi to Agra

  • Drive: 210 km | 3-4 Hours (Yamuna Expressway).

  • Stay: Overnight in Agra.

After breakfast, we take the fast expressway to Agra. Upon arrival, we check in and head straight to the Taj Mahal. Watching the sunlight play on the white marble dome is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Your guide will explain the perfect symmetry and the love story behind it. Later, we visit the massive Agra Fort, a walled city where the Mughal Emperors lived and ruled. From its ramparts, you get a stunning view of the Taj across the river.

Day Highlights:

  • Guided tour of the Taj Mahal (World Wonder).

  • Explore the palaces inside Agra Fort.

  • Sunset views of the Taj Mahal.

Day 03: The Ghost City & Stepwell | Agra to Jaipur

  • Drive: 240 km | 5-6 Hours.

  • Stay: Overnight in Jaipur.

We leave Agra for the Pink City. This drive is special because of two major stops. Stop 1: Fatehpur Sikri, the abandoned red sandstone capital of Emperor Akbar. It is perfectly preserved, like a ghost town frozen in 1585. Stop 2: Abhaneri to see Chand Baori, one of India’s deepest and most visually stunning stepwells with 3,500 geometric steps. We arrive in Jaipur by evening.

Day Highlights:

  • Explore the Ghost City of Fatehpur Sikri.

  • Marvel at the geometry of Chand Baori Stepwell.

  • Arrival in the vibrant Pink City.

Day 04: The Pink City | Forts & Astronomy

  • Drive: Local Sightseeing.

  • Stay: Overnight in Jaipur.

Today is dedicated to the royals. We start with a photo stop at the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) before riding up to the majestic Amber Fort. The mirror work in the Sheesh Mahal is breathtaking. On the way back, we admire the Jal Mahal (Water Palace). In the afternoon, we explore the City Palace (Royal Residence) and Jantar Mantar (the world’s largest stone observatory). The evening is free to wander through the colorful Johari Bazaar.

Day Highlights:

  • Explore the massive Amber Fort.

  • Photo stops at Hawa Mahal & Jal Mahal.

  • Visit City Palace & Jantar Mantar.

Day 05: The Holy Stopover | Jaipur to Udaipur via Pushkar

  • Drive: 400 km | 7-8 Hours (Long Drive).

  • Stay: Overnight in Udaipur.

We begin the journey south towards the City of Lakes. To break the long drive, we stop at the holy town of Pushkar. Visit the rare Brahma Temple (one of the very few in the world) and take a peaceful walk around the sacred Pushkar Lake. It is a great place to witness Hindu rituals and see the local culture. We continue our drive through the Aravalli hills to reach Udaipur by evening.

Day Highlights:

  • Visit the sacred Brahma Temple in Pushkar.

  • Scenic drive transitioning from flat plains to hilly terrain.

  • Arrival in the romantic city of Udaipur.

Day 06: Venice of the East | Udaipur Sightseeing & Boat Ride

  • Drive: Local Sightseeing.

  • Stay: Overnight in Udaipur.

Udaipur is unlike any other city in Rajasthan; it is green, peaceful, and surrounded by water. We visit the towering City Palace, a complex of 11 palaces offering panoramic views of the lake. We also visit the Jagdish Temple, the folklore museum at Bagore Ki Haveli, and the Saheliyon Ki Bari (Garden of Maids). The Grand Finale: A sunset boat ride on Lake Pichola. Watching the sun go down behind the hills while gliding past the Lake Palace and Jag Mandir is the perfect ending to your tour.

Day Highlights:

  • Explore Rajasthan’s largest palace complex (City Palace).

  • Visit Saheliyon Ki Bari & Jagdish Temple.

  • Included: Romantic Boat Ride on Lake Pichola.

Day 07: Farewell | Departure from Udaipur

  • Drive: Airport Transfer.

After a relaxed breakfast overlooking the lakes, your tour concludes. We will transfer you to Udaipur Airport (UDR) or the Railway Station for your onward journey. (Note: Udaipur has direct flights to Delhi, Mumbai, and Jaipur).

Day Highlights:

  • Relaxed morning breakfast.

  • Assisted transfer to Airport/Station.

  • End of services with happy memories.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can we fly from Jaipur to Udaipur instead of driving?

Yes! If you want to skip the 7-hour drive on Day 5, you can take a morning flight. We will drop you at Jaipur airport and arrange a fresh car for you in Udaipur. This gives you more time to explore Udaipur.

Can we return to Delhi at the end?

Yes. You can take an evening flight from Udaipur to Delhi (1 hour). Or, if you prefer driving back, we can add an extra day (Day 8) to drive you back to Delhi (approx. 11-12 hours). We recommend flying.

Are the guides necessary in Udaipur?

Yes. The City Palace is huge and complex. A guide brings the stories of the Maharanas to life and helps you navigate the museum sections efficiently.

Is the Boat Ride private?

The inclusion is for a Shared Boat Ride (regular municipal boat). If you prefer a Private Boat or a luxury boat ride from the Taj Lake Palace/Leela jetty, we can upgrade you for an additional cost.

Is Pushkar worth the stop?

Absolutely. Pushkar is very different from the other cities. It is small, spiritual, and has a hippie vibe. It breaks the journey perfectly and allows you to see the only Brahma Temple in the world.

What is the best time for this tour?

October to March is ideal. The weather is pleasant. Summers (April-June) can be hot, especially in Agra and Jaipur, though Udaipur is slightly cooler due to the lakes.
