We made this route for travelers who want a mix of history and nature. You start in the busy, colorful city of Jaipur to see the famous forts and palaces. Then, you drive to the green and peaceful lakes of Udaipur. To make the trip completely unique, we end in Mount Abu, the only hill station in Rajasthan. The weather gets cooler and the views get higher as you travel. It is a very refreshing and beautiful journey.

The Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Welcome to Jaipur | Modern Sights & Village Dinner

  • Drive: Airport or Station Pick-up + Local Sightseeing.

  • Stay: Overnight in Jaipur.

Welcome to the Pink City! Our driver will meet you at the airport or train station and take you to your hotel. In the evening, we visit the modern side of Jaipur. We see the beautiful Albert Hall Museum and the Statue Circle. Next, we find peace at the white marble Birla Mandir. We also stop at Patrika Gate, a very colorful place with beautiful painted walls. For dinner, we take you to Chokhi Dhani Village Resort. Here, you will eat traditional Rajasthani food and watch local village dances and magic shows.

Day 02: Forts & Palaces | The Full Jaipur Experience

  • Drive: Local Sightseeing.

After breakfast, we explore the royal history of Jaipur. We start at the big Amber Fort on the high hill. You will see beautiful mirror work inside the palace. On the way back, we stop to take photos of Jal Mahal, the water palace in the middle of a lake. In the afternoon, we visit the City Palace, where the royal family still lives. We also see the Jantar Mantar stone observatory and the famous Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds). We end the day by walking in the local markets.

Day 03: The Largest Fort | Jaipur to Udaipur via Chittorgarh

  • Drive: 400 km | 7-8 Hours.

  • Stay: Overnight in Udaipur.

Today we have a long but beautiful drive to Udaipur, the City of Lakes. On the way, we stop to visit Chittorgarh Fort. This is one of the largest forts in India. It is famous for its brave history, big towers, and old temples. We walk through the fort complex to see its massive layout. After the visit, we continue our drive to Udaipur. You will arrive by the evening and check into your hotel to relax.

Day 04: The Royal City | Udaipur Sightseeing & Boat Ride

  • Drive: Local Sightseeing.

  • Stay: Overnight in Udaipur.

After breakfast, we spend the day seeing Udaipur. We visit the grand City Palace. It is right next to the lake and has many beautiful courtyards and great views. Next, we visit the Jagdish Temple, Bagore Ki Haveli, and Pratap Smarak. We also take a peaceful walk in Saheliyon Ki Bari, a quiet garden with water fountains made for royal ladies. In the evening, we take a calm Boat Ride on Lake Pichola. You will see the City Palace and the Lake Palace from the water as the sun goes down.

Day 05: The Hill Station | Udaipur to Mount Abu

  • Drive: 160 km | 3 Hours.

  • Stay: Overnight in Mount Abu.

We check out of the hotel and drive up into the mountains to Mount Abu. This is the only hill station in Rajasthan, and the weather is much cooler here. After checking into your hotel, we visit the famous Dilwara Temples. These temples have the most detailed and amazing white marble carvings in the country. Later, we visit Nakki Lake and see Toad Rock. We end the day at Sunset Point, where you can see the sun go down over the green hills.

Day 06: Farewell | Mount Abu to Udaipur Departure

  • Drive: 160 km | 3 Hours (Drive to Udaipur Airport).

After breakfast, you will check out from your hotel in Mount Abu. We will drive back down the hills towards Udaipur. At the right time, our driver will drop you at the Udaipur airport or railway station for your journey home. You leave with wonderful memories of royal cities, big forts, calm lakes, and cool mountains.

How far is the Udaipur airport from Mount Abu?

The drive from Mount Abu to the Udaipur airport takes about 3 to 3.5 hours. Please book a flight that leaves in the afternoon (after 2:00 PM) so you have plenty of time to reach the airport.

Can we skip Chittorgarh Fort to reach Udaipur faster?

Yes. If you prefer to reach Udaipur earlier to rest, we can drive straight from Jaipur to Udaipur without stopping at the fort.

What clothes should we wear?

Conservative clothing is recommended, especially for temples (Akshardham, Jama Masjid). Shoulders and knees should be covered. Comfortable walking shoes are a must for the forts.

Is the weather really cold in Mount Abu?

Mount Abu is pleasant all year. In the winter (November to February), it can get quite cold at night, so you will need a jacket. In the summer, it is much cooler and nicer than the rest of Rajasthan.

Is Chokhi Dhani good for kids?

Yes, kids love Chokhi Dhani! It is like a village fair with magic shows, puppet shows, camel rides, and games. It is a very safe and fun place for families.
