Why We Curated This Specific Route
This itinerary connects the two most famous images of India: the Burning Ghats of Varanasi and the white marble Taj Mahal.
The Spiritual & The Royal: You start in Varanasi, experiencing deep spirituality, ancient rituals, and chaos. Then, you move to Agra for organized, grand Mughal architecture. The contrast is striking.
Premium Rail Experience: Instead of a long, tiring drive or a flight with long airport waits, we include a ticket on the Vande Bharat Express or AC First Class. This lets you see the Indian countryside comfortably.
The Complete Story: You see the “Circle of Life” in Varanasi and the “Monument of Death” (Taj Mahal) in Agra.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long is the train journey?
The Vande Bharat Express takes about 6 to 7 hours. It is the fastest and most comfortable train on this route. Regular express trains can take 10-12 hours.
Is the boat ride private?
Yes, the boat ride included in this package is a private rowing boat (hand-rowed), which is peaceful and traditional. Motorboats are also available upon request.
Is Varanasi safe for tourists?
Yes, but it is chaotic. Stick with your guide in the narrow lanes. Be careful of "touts" (people trying to sell you things) near the ghats.
Which station will we arrive at in Agra?
The Vande Bharat often stops at Tundla Junction (about 25km from Agra) or Agra Cantt. Our driver will be waiting for you at whichever station the train stops at.
Can we fly instead of taking the train?
There are currently no direct non-stop flights between Varanasi and Agra (most go via Delhi). The train is actually the most direct and convenient option.
What is the dress code for temples?
Please cover your shoulders and knees when visiting temples in Varanasi and the Taj Mahal. Shoes must be removed before entering the main temple areas.
