Frequently Asked Questions
Is 5 days enough for these three cities?
It is a "Highlights" tour. You will see the main attractions, but days will be busy. Day 2 (Udaipur to Jodhpur) and Day 3 (Jodhpur to Jaisalmer) involve driving + sightseeing, so we start early (8:00 AM) to fit everything in.
Can we fly back from Jaisalmer?
Yes, Jaisalmer has a small airport with flights to Delhi, Jaipur, and Mumbai (seasonal). Alternatively, you can take an overnight train.
What is the best time for this tour?
October to March is best. The weather is cool, perfect for the desert and walking around forts. Avoid summer (April-June) as the heat is intense.
What are Osian Temples?
Osian is an ancient desert town known as the "Khajuraho of Rajasthan." The temples date back to the 8th century and feature intricate carvings. It is a great stop on the way to Jaisalmer.
Is the Kuldhara village scary?
It is known as a haunted village because it was abandoned overnight by 84 villages of Paliwal Brahmins. While it is safe to visit during the day, the empty streets and ruined houses definitely have a mysterious vibe.
Can we add Ranakpur on Day 2?
We can, but it will make Day 2 extremely long. Visiting Ranakpur adds about 2 hours to the travel time. If you want to include it, we recommend skipping some sightseeing in Jodhpur on that day.
