Frequently Asked Questions

Is it safe to visit the Rat Temple?

Yes, it is safe. The rats are harmless and are used to humans. However, if you are scared of rodents, you can skip this and we can drop you directly at the station.

Can we return to Jaipur from Bikaner?

Yes, but it is a long drive (approx. 5-6 hours). If your flight is from Jaipur, we need to leave Bikaner very early on Day 5.

What clothes should we pack?

Cotton clothes are best for the day. If you travel in winter (November to February), bring a jacket because the desert gets cold at night.

How far is Mandawa from Jaipur?

It is about 170 km, which takes 3 to 4 hours by car. The road goes through rural Rajasthan.

Is Bikaner good for shopping?

Yes! Bikaner is famous for its snacks (Bhujia) and sweets. It is also good for camel leather items like bags and shoes.

What is special about Junagarh Fort?

Most forts in Rajasthan are on hills. Junagarh is on flat ground (plains), but it has huge walls and a moat (water channel) for protection. It is very beautiful inside.
