Why We Curated This Specific Route
This is the classic “Desert Triangle” route (excluding Jodhpur). We designed this for travelers who want to dive deep into the Thar Desert.
The Color Run: Witness the dramatic change in architecture and stone—from the Pink Sandstone of Jaipur to the Red Sandstone of Bikaner, and finally, the Yellow Sandstone of Jaisalmer.
The Road Less Traveled: The drive from Bikaner to Jaisalmer is one of the most scenic desert roads in India, often empty and surrounded by dunes.
Wildlife & Culture: You get a mix of royal palaces, the unique Camel Breeding Farm in Bikaner, and the migratory Cranes of Kheechan.
The Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Jaipur – Arrival & The Royal Capital
Welcome to the Pink City. Upon your arrival at Jaipur airport or railway station, our representative will meet you. Since there is a lot to see today, we recommend arriving in the morning. We head straight to the Amber Fort, a massive hilltop fortress. On the way back, we stop at Jal Mahal for photos. Later, we explore the city center to see Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), the royal City Palace, and the ancient observatory Jantar Mantar. In the evening, explore the colorful bazaars.

After an early breakfast, we leave the green hills of Jaipur and drive north to the desert city of Bikaner (approx. 5-6 hours). Upon arrival, check in and freshen up. We then visit the magnificent Junagarh Fort. Unlike other forts on hills, this one is built on the plains but was never conquered. In the evening, we visit the National Research Centre on Camel to learn about desert life and taste camel milk products.

Day 03: Bikaner to Jaisalmer – Birds & Sunset

It is a beautiful sight to see them feeding. We reach the Golden City by afternoon. In the evening, we visit Vyas Chhatri and Gadisar Lake to watch the sunset turn the stone temples into gold.

Day 04: The Golden Fort & Night in the Dunes

We visit the Jain Temples and the intricately carved merchant houses like Patwon Ki Haveli and Nathmal Ki Haveli. By evening, we drive to the Sand Dunes.
