The Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Udaipur – Arrival & The Royal Core

Welcome to the City of Lakes. Upon your arrival at the airport or railway station, our representative will meet you and assist with a comfortable transfer to your hotel. After freshening up, we head straight to the heart of the city. We begin with the magnificent City Palace, a sprawling complex of courtyards and balconies that overlook Lake Pichola.

Next, we visit the ancient Jagdish Temple, famous for its intricate carvings and daily chants. We then stroll through the royal garden, Saheliyon Ki Bari (Garden of Maids), a green oasis of fountains. We end the day with a visit to Bagore Ki Haveli to see the royal artifacts and the Maharana Pratap Smarak to pay respects to the legendary warrior.

Day 02: The Hilltop Views & Departure

After a relaxed breakfast overlooking the lakes, we check out to explore the scenic surroundings of Udaipur. We drive to Fateh Sagar Lake, a popular spot for locals known for its scenic beauty. From there, we drive up the winding Bansdara hills to reach the Sajjangarh (Monsoon Palace). The view from the top is breathtaking—you can see the entire city and the Aravalli range spread out below you.

Before you leave, we visit the Pratap Gaurav Kendra, a modern museum dedicated to Maharana Pratap, which brings the history of Mewar to life. We then drop you at the airport or railway station for your onward journey, leaving you with memories of calm waters and proud history.

Maharana Pratap Airport (UDR) is about 22 km (45 minutes drive) from the main city/lake area. We ensure our driver picks you up on time so you don't waste a minute of your trip.

What is the best time to visit Udaipur?

September to March is ideal. However, the Monsoon season (July-August) is also magical in Udaipur as the lakes are full and the Aravalli hills turn lush green.

Can we visit spectacular temples nearby like Eklingji or Nathdwara?

With only 2 days, it is tight. However, if you have a late evening flight on Day 2, we might be able to squeeze in a quick trip to Eklingji (20km away). For a relaxed trip, we recommend adding one more day.

Is the Monsoon Palace worth the drive?

Yes, especially for the view. It sits high on a mountain peak. The drive itself is through a wildlife sanctuary, and the panoramic view of the Udaipur lakes from the top is unmatched.

Is Udaipur safe for solo female travelers?
